In an effort to deal with the skyrocketing real estate prices in Ontario, the Ford government unveiled their plans today. Proposed changes include;
-
allow zoning changes to increase densification within municipalities and to speed up the processes involved to get houses built quicker.
-
A 10 year target of 1.5 million homes built. Though this will not have immediate impact on the current real estate climate, it does try to resolve the lack of supply issue.
